King Dude
King Dude has been posted a couple time on the Actual Pain Blog (one of my favorite brands). but i never really took the time to check them out. Probably because I thought it would sound something like Book of Black Earth, and Im not always in the mood for that type of music...but boy was I wrong, King Dude is alot more folky and lo fi and well i think enjoyable. check it out if your looking for something new to listen to.

what amazes me is he actually seems to be reading the on screen action and corresponding his movements accordingly.

holy shit
I dont normally buy video games anymore. To me video games are something i was really really into when i was younger, but i just cant find the time for them anymore. There was a time when i would wake up at 6 in he am so i could play chrono trigger before anyone else in the house woke up and needed the computer. But I really havent played a game like that since 8th or 9th grade. That is untill this game came out.
Everything about this game is dedicated to putting you in the action, and by god does it work. Ill go more in depth on this later, till then if you have a game system, buy this right now. It will be the best 60 some bucks you spend this year.

Star wars gangsta rap: Chronicles (same deal)

Eyewriter
The Eyewriter from Evan Roth on Vimeo.
via Fresh Melt Water
so wow, this video almost made my cry. I guess it was pretty much because i couldn't imagine what life would be like if i lost my ability to draw. This is just an amazing project and it goes to show what people are capable of. This wasn't a big research company this was some friends with 50$, a computer, and a desire to help out one of their own. If only more people would take initiative like this the world would be a better place.
Internet Down
so apparently the internet in my house stopped working last night, and was still down this morning, hopefully this wont last

Does anyone else watch this show
Community
Its on hulu, and seriously its awesome, If you dont watch it i would do so immediately, the character interactions...their dynamics, everything is spot on. seriously check this out while its on..because good tv shows generally have a history of getting cancled.
Art
One of the problems with being an Artist is the supplies. The cheaper they are the worse they are...Lately I have been trying to get back into painting, however all the acrylics i have are of the 99c variety, and it turns out they have no coverage whatsoever....its like trying to paint with water. so here i am, tons of wood in my room waiting to be painted on and nothing to paint them with. I could use oil paints, but my room doesn't have the necessary space to set up the way i would like. so here i am, itching to paint and having to sit on it....this sucks

purchase of the day
issues 1-4 of Gaylord Phoenix by Edie Fake
sorry for the Internet photo, transferring pictures from my camera requires a card reader usb which is somewhere in my mess of a room. Anyway On a field trip to New york today i stumbled upon Printed Matter Inc. It was a venerable gold mine of material. and if I lived closer I'm sure my money would disappear on a weekly basis. Pretty much any Zine i had ever seen or desired was there as well as hundreds Ive never seen but desperately wanted to own. i saw a screen printed poster by Edie Fake on the wall and remembering my quest for the Gaylord Phoenix Zines checked, and was shocked to find all 4. apparently after being out of print on every online bookstore i checked they had just been reprinted. and for $4 dollars each they are a steal! I would check them out immediately.

This is why I hate FOX news. They just dont get it. To say that a painting of the flag being defaced is equivalent to burning a flag is rediculous. countless people have painted and twisted the American flag in the name of art, so why pick this one fox? Why not make another Video about how mister Rogers ruined the youth of today

Drake music video featuring Eminem and others
The only reason I would even post this is the Eminem verse at 4:51. I found this music video right after listening to Eminem's new album and it gives me hope that we will see the old Eminem again. I fondly remember staying up untill 10pm for the Y100 cage match when i was in 6th grade so that i could hear the real slim shady when they played it. Something about it was so catchy to me back then, I even went so far as to record it off they headphones on my walkman with a toystory recorder.
His last album, relapse was a mixed bag for me, on the first listen i dismissed it as nothing of value, putting it on in the car for a drive to connecticut. But upon a second listen to when i was in the car by myself I realized that that album was made just for him, not for anyone else. A therapy of sorts, and I can appreciate that...My one complaint was that he slows it way down on that album and his flow is at almost a crawl compared to his older work. So this video gives me hope that someday we might see a faster Eminem like the one that made me stay up late back in the day.
